OUR
MISSION
OUR VISION INVESTING IN AMERICA’S FUTURE -- CAMPAIGN MEETS $3 MILLION CHALLENGE! We are pleased to announce that we’ve met the challenge – three months ahead of schedule! In the past 24 months, we’ve raised just over $3 million in cash, pledges, and estate gifts. Thanks to 49 individuals, companies and Exchange Club members, we achieved this important goal early. Where We’re Going While we’ve raised $3 million, we still have a challenge ahead of us: another $2.5 million to meet the $5.5 million overall campaign goal for phase one. This campaign will put The National Exchange Club on the map as not only the premier service club, but also the leader in this effort to prevent child abuse. NEC is the only service organization in the country that has this type of hands-on project and this campaign will reinforce this position for years to come. The first phase of Investing in America’s Future supports our national project, with four specific goals: · Sustain Child Abuse Prevention Efforts through Perpetual Endowment · Establish Proactive Leadership Role in Contributing to the Prevention Field · Evaluate and Research Programs & Impact · Restore and Expand Network Resources We’ve Come a Long Way An assessment in the fall of 2008 showed we could raise $5.5 million in the next three to five years for the prevention of child abuse. The $5.5 campaign was launched with five individuals posing a $1 million challenge: NECF must raise an additional $2 million by spring of 2011. Today, we celebrate the courage and leadership of those first five individuals who believed the unprecedented campaign goals for the prevention of child abuse could be achieved. And we thank the others who gave generously to meet the challenge. How Can You Help? We know there are many, many others who care about NEC’s national project, child abuse prevention and want to see the goals of this campaign met. If you want to learn more about the campaign or if you know someone you think would really care about this campaign and want to get involved, please contact your National Exchange Club Foundation staff at 1-800-924-2643 or kaskew@nationalexchangeclub.org.
