Giving to the NEC Foundation

Charitable gifts are one of the most important and fulfilling ways you can help shape the world around you.  Within the National Exchange Club Foundation, charitable gifts go to one of two main funds. The Program Fund allows the Foundation to support a predictable level of recurring programming from year to year. This fund is used to underwrite the Program of Service of the National Exchange Club and its national project, child abuse prevention.

The Endowment Fund helps ensure the future of the Foundation and secures its ability to support the National Exchange Club Program of Service into the future. This fund’s principal is permanently invested and only interest and dividend earnings from the fund are used to support the programs of Exchange.

The Program Fund and the Endowment Fund are equally deserving of support; indeed, they complement one another. The Program Fund supports the Foundation’s programs today and the Endowment Fund is used to secure those programs for tomorrow.

Annual Giving

Annual giving contributions are essential, because they provide flexible, immediate funds for annual program and operating expenses. Because gifts to the Annual Giving Fund provide roughly 10 percent of the NEC Foundation’s annual income, their importance cannot be overemphasized.

National Exchange Club members receive an annual giving appeal in November. If you have made your annual gift, thank you! If you would still like to make your gift, please click here and indicate “Annual Giving” in the comments field. THANK YOU!

Other Programs of Giving

          Heritage Society

The National Exchange Club Foundation Heritage Society recognizes those who make a commitment of planned giving to the National Exchange Club and its programs. Membership in the Heritage Society is accorded to individuals and/or families who have indicated in writing their intention to include the National Exchange Club Foundation in their estates.

Estate planning is an important part of every person’s life plan regardless of age. You can brighten our children’s future by planning a gift in your estate today. Questions about including the National Exchange Club Foundation in your estate? Please call 1-800-XCHANGE.

         Stocks

Gifts of appreciated securities or stock can be one of the most advantageous ways of giving to the National Exchange Club Foundation. If you have owned the stock for more than one year, you may deduct the full fair market value and at the same time, bypass all capital gain taxes.

The National Exchange Club Foundation is able to accept gifts of stock through an account with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. Please call 1-800-XCHANGE for our account number, DTC number, and other details.

          Memorials and Tributes

Celebrate, congratulate and commemorate with a special gift to the National Exchange Club Foundation. A donation is a thoughtful and meaningful way to honor and remember.  When you make a donation, we send an acknowledgement to you and a note to the person, or the family of the person being honored or memorialized.

The Dr. Edward R. North Society

The Dr. Edward R. North Society was formed to allow supporters to honor the ideals Dr. North set forth in the National Exchange Club, namely the prevention of child abuse. The $1,000 donation (payable over five years) is divided evenly between the Foundation’s endowment fund and general operating fund. With their donation to the North Society, members are expressing their commitment to the prevention of child abuse and the future of Exchange.

          Campaign for Kids

When you put money into the Foundation it becomes useful - it can do more to prevent child abuse, provide scholarships, promote Americanism, and support community service.  Campaign for Kids is the way Exchange Clubs put money into the Foundation - and watch its service expand.

          Blue Ribbon Campaign

The blue ribbon symbolizes the more than 3.2 million reports of child abuse each year to Child Protective Services (CPS) throughout the United States.  During the month of April, Child Abuse Prevention Month, Exchange Clubs can conduct a local Blue Ribbon Campaign.  The campaign focuses on distributing Blue Ribbon cutout cards and Blue Ribbon pins to raise funds both locally and nationally.

THANK YOU!

Thank you; your support is truly appreciated and is making a difference in the lives of children and communities across the nation.

When you give to the Foundation, you are joining thousands of others in committing to the mission and goals of Exchange and the Foundation. Your support translates to grant opportunities, scholarships, new child abuse prevention centers, trained staff, program development, and so much more.
