Charitable gifts are one of the most important and fulfilling ways you can help shape the world around you. Within the National Exchange Club Foundation, charitable gifts go to one of two main funds, the Program Fund or the Endowment Fund.
The Program Fund allows the Foundation to support a predictable level of recurring programming from year to year. This fund is used to underwrite the Programs of Service of the National Exchange Club and its national project, The Prevention of Child Abuse.
The Endowment Fund helps ensure the future of the Foundation and secures its ability to support the National Exchange Club Programs of Service into the future. This fund's principal is permanently invested and only interest and dividend earnings from the fund are used to support the programs of Exchange.
The Program Fund and the Endowment Fund are equally deserving of support; indeed, they complement one another. The Program Fund supports the Foundation's programs today and the Endowment Fund is used to secure those programs for tomorrow.
Annual giving contributions are essential, because they provide flexible, immediate funds for annual program and operating expenses.
National Exchange Club members receive an annual giving appeal in November, and this campaign continues throughout the year. Anyone wishing to make a gift can click here and indicate "Annual Giving" in the comments field.
Named in honor of Exchange's founder, Charles A. Berkey, the Berkey Fellowship honors outstanding supporters of the ideals of the National Exchange Club.
Charles Berkey Fellowships are awarded in appreciation for lump sum contributions of $1,000 or more to the NEC Foundation Endowment Fund. Gifts made to the Berkey Fellowship become part of the Endowment Fund, a permanent bank of funds for the NEC Foundation.
Gifts are honored and protected in perpetuity, as the Endowment Fund's principal is permanently invested, and only interest earnings from the fund are used to support the programs of Exchange.
To become a Berkey Fellow, please call 1-800-XCHANGE [1-800-924-2643] or click here to download a club or individual donation form.
The National Exchange Club Foundation Heritage Society recognizes those who make a commitment of planned giving to the National Exchange Club and its programs. Membership in the Heritage Society is accorded to individuals and/or families who have indicated in writing their intention to include the National Exchange Club Foundation in their estates.
Estate planning is an important part of every person's life plan regardless of age. Please consider including the NEC Foundation in your estate planning. For information contact development@nationalexchangeclubfoundation.org.
Gifts of appreciated securities or stock can be one of the most advantageous ways of giving to the National Exchange Club Foundation. If you have owned the stock for more than one year, you may deduct the full fair market value and at the same time, bypass all capital gain taxes.
As always, the National Exchange Club Foundation is able to accept gifts of stock. Please consult with your financial advisor.
Celebrate, congratulate and commemorate with a special gift to the National Exchange Club Foundation. A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor a person's legacy. When you make a donation, an acknowledgement is provided to you and a personalized notification is provided to the person, or the family of the person being honored or memorialized.
