  Foundation District Representatives
 



 

 

 

Purpose

The Foundation District Representative (FDR) represents the Foundation to his/her district of the National Exchange Club. FDRs are at the forefront to answer questions and share information about the Foundation with Exchange Clubs, members and other interested parties.

Appointment

The Foundation District Representative is a volunteer position with a one year commitment. FDRs are appointed by the National Exchange Club Foundation Board of Trustees and report to the Communications Committee. An FDR may serve more than one term if agreed by both the FDR and the Board. The term is July 1 to June 30.

Responsibilities

The FDR represents the Foundation in the following ways:

  • Speaking to local Exchange clubs, Child Abuse Prevention centers, and any other interested party about the Foundation’s projects and programs.

  • Submitting articles about the Foundation to the District bulletin.

  • Supporting Foundation fundraising efforts.

  • Promoting various fundraising campaigns, including the Annual Campaign and the Berkey Fellowship.

  • Assisting with outreach to clubs regarding Campaign for Kids.

  • Presenting/speaking at District conventions, training sessions or other events.

  • Identifying potential donors, including individuals, corporations and foundations.

Required Activities

The FDR is asked to perform the following:

  • Complete a minimum of three speaking events per quarter. At least one should focus on Foundation fundraising.

  • File reports online, including a list of activities and other comments.

Training

The initial training session will be held at National Convention. Other training opportunities will be offered to those not attending the Convention. Quarterly conference calls will be held to provide more in-depth information on a variety of subjects. All materials/tools will be provided. Additional literature about the Foundation and its programs are available for distribution by request.

Expenses

FDRs may submit expenses incurred as a donation to the Foundation and receive Medallion credit. Expenses are not otherwise reimbursable.
