Make sure
your baby is safe, then go into
another room for a time to rest. Crying by itself, will not
hurt your baby.
Know that
feeling frustrated is as normal as your baby's crying.
Call a friend
or a relative for help, advice or just to talk and vent.
Remember
not to take the crying personally, your baby's not doing it
to make you upset.
Remember
that you are still a good parent even if your baby cries a
lot.
Remember
that sometimes babies cry often, for long periods of
time, for no reason.
Call the doctor
if you are worried or think there is something wrong with
your baby. |

Know it's OK
and even expected, to ask for help, all parents need help
sometimes.
When the baby
is quiet, make a plan for the crying times.
It is never OK
to shake your baby to stop the crying, shaking stops crying
by causing serious brain injury or death.
